It has a metallic luster, high melting point, excellent heat resistance, strong oxidation resistance, and high electrical resistivity, making it a valuable industrial raw material.It is widely used in refractory materials, powder metallurgy, steelmaking, aluminum alloy production, chemical industry (silicones), and high-tech applications such as semiconductors and solar materials.Depending on grade and application, the silicon content typically ranges from 98% to 99.9%+ purity, with controlled levels of Fe, Al, and Ca impurities. Particle sizes are available from 20 mesh to 600 mesh (or finer powders like -325 mesh) as per industrial requirements.
It is also known as an “industrial glutamate” because of its essential role across multiple manufacturing sectors, especially where heat resistance, strength, and durability are required.
